Building fast, strong carbon wheels: that was our goal as we started our company FFWD Wheels in the year of 2006. Craftsmanship, high quality and durability are our most important values. In a few years of time FFWD Wheels has grown into a company with a global distribution network and a solid reputation. All FFWD Wheels are handmade at our company in the Dutch town of Zwolle. Our wheel builders pay close attention to every wheel. This leads to wheels which are feather light and strong as iron: FFWD Wheels are no mass product. FFWD Wheels are of high quality, hand built in the Netherlands. |
FFWD Wheels does not only produce high-end wheels for the road, we also build wheels for the track, triathlon and cyclocross.

Our People
Rik van Putten, Marketing et Ventes
Après des études de commerce, Rik van Putten a démarré sa carrière chez SRAM et acquis ses expériences dans l’industrie du cycle en travaillant au département Marketing et Service client. Il est également animé par la passion du vélo et de la compétition qu’il a pratiquée dès l’âge de 10 ans. Rik a intégré FFWD le 1er mai 2009 en tant que Responsable Marketing et Ventes. Il gère, entre autres, les relations avec les médias et les accords de sponsoring.
Ismaël Kip, Customer Service
Ismaël Kip is also a competition cyclist who decided to quit riding at a high level to concentrate on his working career. Having focussed on track cycling he is a former National Champion on the 50 kilometres which was achieved on the FFWD F9T.
Ismaël is one of our customer contacts for all questions in order to serve our customers in the best possible way.
Tino Hazelhoff, Logistics and Warranty
Tino Hazelhoff has been riding a road bike almost all his life, including 22 years of competition on the road. He also raced together with Henk at some point and still has a great passion for the sport. At FFWD Tino is responsible for managing the warehouse and shipping the wheels as well as handling warranty requests.
Roman Storcel, Monteur de roue
Roman et Henk sont des amis de longue date, depuis qu’ils ont pratiqué ensemble la compétition. Responsable de son propre magasin pendant plusieurs années en Slovaquie, Roman y a acquis toute son expérience et son savoir-faire technique. Roman monte les roues FFWD avec le goût de la perfection qui caractérise chacune des roues FFWD.
Henk Schipper, Founder/General Manager
Henk Schipper est un cycliste acharné depuis sa plus tendre enfance. Il a participé à plus de 500 compétitions sur route entre 1976 et 1993. C’est donc sans surprise qu’il a intégré l’industrie du cycle. Après des études d’économie à l’Université Erasme de Rotterdam, il débute sa carrière professionnelle chez SRAM en 1994, comme Responsable du support technique puis comme Chef produits.
Cinq ans plus tard, il intègre en tant que Directeur Général, la société Veltex Benelux, un des leaders dans la distribution de produits et d’accessoires vélo haut de gamme. - En 2002, Henk crée sa propre société : Optima Forma Cycling.
Agent commercial pour les marques Ritchey et Synchros, responsable des marchés scandinaves, du Benelux et de Grande-Bretagne, de 2003 à 2006, OFC officie également comme l’agence Marketing et Ventes pour Lake Cycling Shoes en Europe. - Henk fonde en 2006 la marque FFWD Wheels
Rob van Eck, Designer
Rob van Eck finished a study industrial product design in 2009 and is also very interested in webdesign. During that study he became in contact with cycling and is currently a competitive cyclist. In 2010 he started his own company specialized in webdesign and applied for a project at FFWD Wheels. After the website redesign Henk asked him to come work for FFWD. At FFWD Rob is responsible for product, web & graphic design and development.
Ernst Jan Dekker, Logistics and Warranty
Ernst-Jan Dekker also has a passion for cycling and loves to ride his bike with F9R when the sun shines. At FFWD Ernst-Jan works together with Tino to ship all wheels to the customers and managing the warehouse.
